Wordcount.org is a compilation of 86,800 of the most frequently used words in the English language, Ranked by usage, interesting in itself, Search for any word and get its rank.
Spinoffs on the site are

WordCount Conspiracy: words which are in suspicious sequences :eg 992-995 = america ensure oil opportunity

Query Count: a track is kept of all the words searched for, and ranked just like word-count, Blushers beware, im sure you can guess the top 10 words
